Ian Ralston

Bella has worked at JMU since 2004. Prior to this, she worked at several universities in the region, including Keele and Staffordshire, as well as in the North East where she also was awarded her PhD in American Literature by Sunderland University.

Bella 's teaching and research interests are in multicultural American literature. As well as publishing several articles in this field, specifically on Asian American literature for journals and edited collections, she is the author of two books, Amy Tan for Manchester University Press (2005) and Asian American Literature for Edinburgh University Press (2008).
